Since my father was born in Sicily and my wife is from Como, I have been visiting here ever since I was a small boy. I have a deep grasp of Italy since I've been exposed to it so much. 1. Como

The lake's pure blue water is ideal for swimming and boating, and it is flanked by high mountains and dense forests. Around the lake, there are some amazing towns, each with a special beauty.



Because my husband was born here, we frequently visit his family members who live in this quaint town so over summer. The lake is quite big, and Bellagio, a really well town, is situated there (which is just as beautiful).

The lakeside promenade is the perfect setting for a leisurely stroll or bike ride, with beautiful views of the mountains and glistening waters. Many Italians enjoy getting tan and swimming around the lake. I advise bringing a swim suit if the weather is pleasant and sunny in order to enjoy the sun! Decide where you want to swim since certain areas of the lake are cleaner than the others. The cathedral, a stunning specimen of Gothic architecture with just an equally magnificent cloister nearby, is another great place to see.

The charming medieval district is indeed a labyrinth of twisting alleyways and protections offered that begs to be discovered. And don't forget to try some of the regional fare—Como is well known for its delectable lake fish dishes! Also, I urge grabbing an aperitivo, or Italian happy hour, in the evening.
